About Providence Utah
Providence was first settled in 1859 by Ira Rice, the second city settled in Cache Valley after Wellsville. Providence is located just 2 miles South of Logan providing easy access to jobs in the city, and great views of the surrounding area from a top the Eastern Bench. Providence has a population of 7,075 as of the 2010 census, up from 4,377 in 2000. Providence is the second fastest growing community in Cache Valley just behind Nibley.
Recent additions to Providence include the Riverwoods Business Center which is home to a fine dining restaurant, large conference center, hotel, and newly renovated office buildings. Providence has seen a lot of commercial growth in recent years giving it a broad appeal for those looking to enjoy a more balanced way of life from rural to city living.
Most residents live on the upper East Bench of Providence providing great views of the surrounding valley. Residents enjoy many outdoor recreational activities from the baseball at the park in downtown to Disc Golf at Von Bear Park. Schools in Providence, UT include Providence Elementary with just over 540 students. Kids will attend k-5 at the elementary school and then move onto Logan’s school district from 6-12th grade.
